Abu Dhabi/Dubai, 21 June 2026 — The United Arab Emirates has officially expanded access to Private Tutoring Work Permits, allowing a wide range of residents — including school and university students, private sector employees, government workers, and registered tutors — to legally offer private lessons and generate additional income.
The initiative, launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) in coordination with the Ministry of Education (MoE), aims to regulate private tutoring, ensure quality standards, and create legal pathways for qualified individuals to provide educational support services across the country.
Who Can Apply for the UAE Private Tutoring Work Permit?
The permit is available to four main categories of applicants:
School Students (Aged 15–18 years)
Must hold a valid UAE residency visa (for non-nationals)
Requires parental/guardian consent
Proof of continuous enrolment in school
Medical fitness certificate
Certificate of good conduct
Holders of part-time work permits are exempt from employer approval
University Students
Valid enrolment certificate from a recognised university

No-objection certificate (NOC) from current employer
