March 11, 2026 — In a major operational update today, Air India and Air India Express announced they are operating a combined 58 scheduled and special non-scheduled flights to and from the West Asia region.
While certain scheduled routes remain temporarily suspended, the airlines are aggressively bridging the gap with 36 special ad-hoc flights primarily targeting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to ensure passenger mobility.

Active Scheduled Operations
Scheduled services are strictly limited to Jeddah and Muscat today:
To/From Jeddah (8 Flights): * Air India: Round-trips from Delhi and Mumbai.
Air India Express: Round-trips from Hyderabad and Kozhikode.
To/From Muscat (14 Flights):
Air India Express only: Round-trips from Delhi, Mumbai, Kannur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli (one each), plus two round-trips from Kochi.
Special Ad-Hoc Flights (UAE Focus)
To accommodate impacted travelers, the airlines have secured regulatory approvals to operate 36 non-scheduled flights across the UAE (subject to slot availability).
Dubai: Air India (from Delhi x2, Mumbai x3) | Air India Express (from Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai x2)
Abu Dhabi: Air India Express (from Bengaluru, Mumbai)

Flights to and from the following West Asian destinations are currently suspended: Al Ain, Salalah, Riyadh, Dammam, Bahrain, Doha, Kuwait, and Tel Aviv.
(Note: All flights to North America, Europe, and Australia are operating normally, with 78 additional flights deployed to Europe, the US, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives between March 10 and 18).
